On Thursday 5th August 22 members participated in a London Walk organised by Ron Yates.
We bravely set off by train from Longfield, and then took the number 24 bus to Leicester
Square – if ever you want a sightseeing tour on the red bus this route is great. After a stop for liquid refreshments we met our guide for a 2 hour stroll round Soho. What an interesting place made even more so by our expert ‘blue badge’ guide. It was then on to an Italian restaurant for a meal before we took a leisurely stroll back to Victoria and home – all saying we must do it again.
A very enjoyable trip, many thanks to Ron for organising it.
