A successful AGM was held on Friday 6 January with 51 people attending.
The new committee was elected with Bob Gaywood taking over as Chairman, Mick Nash taking over as Secretary, John Bradley continuing as treasurer and John, Adam, Gordon Angell, Colin Senneck and Hazel Teale elected to serve on the committee.
Colin Gibbs and Ron Yates were thanked for all they had done whilst acting as Chairman and Secretary respectively.
Following the formal part of the meeting a lively discussion was held regarding the summer league season, how to select teams etc. With 68 people wanting to play regularly and 4 more happy to play occasionally, we have a large squad – the largest in Kent and probably the country.

Thursday 24 November saw a Hartley team play the Beauty of Bath in the first round of the European Cup competition. The Hartley team of Colin Senneck, Joyce and Mick Nash, David Baxter, Ken Potter and Hazel Teale won 4 – 1 and so progressed to the next round.
Sunday 11 December, the day of the clubs Christmas Draw, saw a very successful singles melee held – organised by Mick Nash. It operated with a handicap system. The eventual winner was Mick Jennings.
Sunday 8 January saw the second round of the European cup played against Seal. The Hartley team of Colin Senneck, Joyce and Mick Nash, David Baxter, Bob Gaywood and Jean- Louis Guiot lost 2 games to 3, which means that our run in the competition has come to an end for this year.
The winter league continues after the Christmas and new year break with 4 teams in action most Wednesday evenings until the end of February.
